Jeremiah 29:11

                 Prayerline

                                                                                                Leaning on HIS Everlasting Arms

The Lord opened up to me/reminded me of Psalm 91:14-16, a portion some of us repeat every day on Jeremiah 29:11 Prayer line as part of our very own confession:

“Because he, Sarah, hath set his, Sarah’s, love upon ME, therefore will I deliver him, Sarah:  I will set him, Sarah, on high, because he, Sarah, hath known MY name.   Verse 15.  He, Sarah, shall call upon ME, and I will answer him, Sarah:  I will be with him, Sarah, in trouble; I will deliver him, Sarah, and honor him, Sarah. Verse 16. With long life will I satisfy him, Sarah, and shew him, Sarah, my salvation.”   Amen.

If EVER I needed this scripture, it was Thursday afternoon, July 9th, 2015.  If EVER Christ’s love and protection was demonstrated to me, it was then.

I had been to LA Fitness in the morning; went to Kaiser Permanente in Inglewood afterwards, then to Ralph’s Grocery Store to pick up some fruits and veggies.  I also had gotten some cash which I had very carefully put in my purse before leaving the store.  I pushed my cart outside, unloaded it, and left Inglewood for Crenshaw Mall in Los Angeles.

I have been praying Psalm 51:10-11 for some time now and the Holy Spirit had been showing me different things, for instance, how to view ALL people as HIS creation, and to view ALL people with loving eyes like Jesus did; that Jesus came into this world to suffer a horrible death on the cross for WHOSEVER believeth in HIM so that they would not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  So I was happily driving along, praying for people as I saw them.

I was on my way to Crenshaw Mall to pay my cell phone bill, and to do some other errands.  I parked my car, got out and opened the back door to get my purse.

NO PURSE!   I SCREAMED!  I YELLED!  I HOLLOWED SO LOUD; I don’t ever remember screaming so loudly.  I was panicking.  Everything I had was in that purse such as my identification/driver’s license, checkbook, money, credit cards, cell phone which I had just recently replaced, and on and on and on.  I went through some emotional upheavals in a short span of time.   Perhaps you could identify with me if you have ever lost something.

The Holy Spirit is directing me to scripturally go through what happened to me: mind, body, spirit:  If ever there was a time when I needed to enter into God’s presence, it was NOW…   to commune with my Heavenly Father for help!   After I realized the gravity of what I had done, I immediately repented, and asked God to forgive me for being so careless; to not be aware of my surroundings and personal belongings. I even have a post it note in my car to remind me to check  for my cell phone, house keys, car keys, glasses and purse.  This idea was suggested by Hazel some time ago but I didn’t implement it until I “misplaced” my cell phone.  The only thing was that I was using it for when I left home and when I was leaving the car to go somewhere.  I didn’t check the grocery cart.  I had placed the groceries in the car but not the purse.

The Holy Spirit is showing me that I definitely have to reduce my  number of  involvements…having my mind on and being involved in too many things is not healthy emotionally, physical nor mentally.   I see that I need to spend more time in prayer, asking HIM, the Holy Spirit, for direction in all my decisions instead of “shooting from the hip.” Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us; to provide the help that we need, but we must ASK.

I had been sporadically reading Myles Monroe’s book, “Understanding the Purpose and Power of Prayer.”  The Holy Spirit directed me back to it during my WATCH and I came across a chapter on “How to Enter God’s Presence.”  Without even realizing it, I was engaging in some of his principles and I will briefly outline them to you.

No. 1 - Appropriate God’s Grace by repenting of sin.  Well I had definitely sinned and asked God to forgive me of being so careless and not paying attention to what I was doing; not being distracted by other things.  Too many things on your mind can result in bad decisions or inappropriate activity.

No. 2 - Put on righteousness by coming into His Presence through the righteousness of Christ through faith.  Eph. 6:14:  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about you with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness.

No. 3 - Put on truth and honesty.  Well, I certainly didn’t have time or it wasn’t the place to play games.  I NEEDED HELP!   Eph. 6:14 also tells me to be truthful, turning from my sinful ways, and Romans 8:3-4 tells me I can receive forgiveness through Christ and walk in the spirit.

No. 4 - Cleanse with the Word.  Times like these you need to be able to call on God and repeat the Word He has given us.  Myles Monroe remarks that the cleansing with the Word will change your heart and mind and transform your life.  I John 1:9 helped.  However, these are times when you find out how engrained the Word is in you; can you call those pertinent scriptures and covenant promises to sustain you?  My God will never leave me nor forsake me.  Call upon the name of the Lord in time of trouble and HE will hear you and sustain you.  Ask and it shall be given unto you…and so forth.  And I did just that!  I called on the name of Jesus.  I screamed…in the beginning until I realized that I was not alone.  HE said that He would never leave me nor forsake me.  Hallelujah.

No. 5 - Worship and Praise God.  I did.  I did just that!  I called upon the Most High God, capable of doing great exploits.  HE could have someone find my purse and take it inside the store without my belongings being tampered with.  I kept reminded Him that I was His daughter and I need His help.  Philippians 4:4:  Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS: and again I say, Rejoice.  God’s commandment to us is not conditional.  ALWAYS!   No matter the circumstances.

No. 6 - Separate yourself.  Well,  I was already in that situation; driving back to the store, going through various stages of emotions.  I was already alone, calling on the Name of the Lord my God. Calling on Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  He said to me in Matthew 11:28-30:  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn of ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light”.  This was the time when had to make a choice:  to believe God and His Word and His promises to me or not.  Philippians 4:6:  Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  V7.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:19 told me that “But my God shall supply ALL my need according to HIS riches in Christ Jesus.  Well, that told me that there was no limit in Christ Jesus.  Relax!

No. 7 - BELIEVE.  Have faith in God’s power to do what HE has promised.  How much more will the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect, the blood of MY own Son – atone for your sins.  1 Peter 1:16.  Christ is the atoning Sacrifice for the sins of the whole world (including Sarah) 1 John 2:2.  God’s Word brings peace to an otherwise overwrought heart, mind, and spirit.

No 8 - Give God the Glory.  When I arrived back at the store quoting scriptures that would come to my memory, but also believing in the awesome power of my GOD who reigns on high and can see everything and can DO everything.  At first I was told that they did see the purse.  I noticed a police car outside of the store.  While walking back to my car for something, the store manager and the policeman called me saying that THEY HAD FOUND MY PURSE.  I put my hands over my face, crying tears of joy and thanksgiving to God first before I even got to them, and then thanking them for their help.  I wept.  I hugged the store manager and the policeman, thanking them for their help, and giving glory to God.   The store manager confirmed what the Holy Spirit had ministered to me earlier:  “I needed to slow down”.

No. 9 - Says wash in the Word and finally, the last point Myles Monroe delivered was

No. 10 - Says remain in the Anointing; in a right relationship with God so we may continually dwell in our meeting place with God.  Matthew 6:33-34 tells us:  “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.  Take there no thought for the morrow for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.  Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

After I returned to my car, I spent some time giving praise and honor to my almighty God who answered my cry; my prayer.  Psalm 91:10 and 11 says that, “There shall no evil befall thee, Sarah, neither shall any plague come nigh thy, Sarah’s, dwelling.”  Why?  “For HE shall give His angels charge over thee, Sarah, to keep thee, Sarah, in all thy, Sarah’s, ways.  After writing down my testimony, I returned to the Ralph’s Market to thank the store manager, so  used that time to invited her to our church 3-day convention starting the next day.  She received the flier and thanked me.

The Holy Spirit showed me that I need to slow down; nothing is that important; that I need to spend time consulting HIM, after all, that’s why HE is here on earth…our Helper -- to lead us and to guide us into all truth.    Psalm 91 is a Psalm of Protection.    which  you should repeat every day.  Verse 7 aassures  me that,  “A thousand shall fall at thy side  (Sarah)  and ten thousand at thy (Sarah’s) right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee (Sarah).”

If nothing else, you may want to put your name  where I have mine, and repeat it every day to cover yourself (and your family from all evil that can befall you:
“Because Sarah hath set Sarah’s love upon ME, therefore will I deliver Sarah:  I will set Sarah on high, because Sarah hath known MY name.   Verse 15. Sarah shall call upon ME, and I will answer Sarah: I will be with Sarah in trouble; I will deliver Sarah, and honor Sarah. Verse 16. With long life will I satisfy Sarah, and shew Sarah my salvation”  We serve an Awesome God!  Amen.
