Here are some of the “ Little Things" in my unawareness that I consider blessings from God that I need to be Thankful for:
- I am late for an appointment and need a close parking spot. God opens up a parking space just for me.
- I have more month than money and I still need certain groceries. I go to the supermarket and every thing I need is on sale.
- I had a horrendous day at work and I am tired. When I get home I am pleasantly surprised that my family has already prepared dinner.
- I have a deadline to pay a bill and I don’t have the money to pay it. I get the mail and a check is there for the exact amount of money I need to pay the bill.
- I haven’t felt well but not sick enough to go to a doctor. I lay down and fall asleep and dream about what I need to take to make me well. Praise God, it’s right in my kitchen cabinet.
- I really need to share something intimate with someone I truly trust. My best friend whom I haven’t heard from in months calls me and says, "You have been in my heart."
- I am running late for a meeting and all I need is another 5 or 10 minutes to be on time and God holds the time up and I arrive exactly on time.
- I don’t have any change for the parking meter and God opens the only spot which has the amount of time I need. I don’t have to put money in the meter. Praise God.
Father God, I thank You for the little blessings that are not so little at all. They may not be as paramount as a new baby, a new home, a new car, a higher paying position in the workforce, an additional source of income, or a new revelation of your Word, but these little blessings are your grace at work in our lives. We are loaded daily with little blessings and we need to acknowledge and thank You for them. These little blessings add up. Today, we acknowledge your little blessings, "Thank You Father in Jesus’ name for loving us and valuing us on a daily basis. We praise and glorify you, Father God, for Your presence, care, provision, protection and for answered prayers."
